    Don Juan Climbing Rose is one of the most well known fragrant, dark red climbing roses. Don Juan is a proven performer that produces large buds on new and old wood, and shapely blossoms atop of glossy dark green leaves. Each offer includes one dormant bare root 1.5 grade rose. Plant can climb to 14 feet tall when supported on a trellis or arbor. Has approximately 30 to 35 petal per flower that open after oviod buds. Introduced in 1958 by Jackson and Perkins company. Botanical name: Rosa don juan. Hardy in USDA zones 5 to 9. In colder zones some winter protection of the roots is advised.
